Terms of service

These terms govern your use of LaunchAF at launchaf.com, including the launch directory, newsletter, free tools, Chrome extension and MCP server (together, the "Service"). By using the Service or creating an account you agree to these terms, our privacy policy and our submission policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. You must be at least 16 years old, and if you use the Service for a business you confirm you can bind that business to these terms.

1. The Service

LaunchAF is a weekly directory where founders list products and the community discovers and upvotes them. We may change, suspend or end any part of the Service at any time, and we will try to give notice of changes that materially affect paid placements you have already bought.

2. Your account

• You can sign in with Google or an emailed one-time code. Give accurate information and keep your sign-in secure.
• You are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us promptly at hello@launchaf.com if you suspect misuse.
• You may stop using the Service at any time. You can ask us to delete your account by email.

3. Launching a product

• You may submit only products you own or are authorised to promote, and the information, images and links must be accurate and not misleading.
• Every listing must follow the submission policy, including the badge requirement for free launches. We review submissions and may reject, edit, unpublish or delist any listing that breaks the policy or these terms.
• Ranking follows the rules in the submission policy. Votes, ranks and streak rewards are not guarantees of traffic, sales or any other result.
• You must not manipulate votes or comments, for example with fake accounts, vote trading, bots or paid voting.

4. Content you provide

You keep ownership of the content you submit (product details, logos, screenshots, comments and similar). You give LaunchAF a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, reproduce, format and distribute that content, including in the directory, weekly archives, search pages, social posts, RSS feeds, the newsletter and promotional material for the Service, for as long as it is listed and for the period needed for archives and backups. You confirm that you have the rights needed to grant this licence and that your content does not infringe anyone else's rights or break the law.

Comments and other community content must be lawful and respectful. Do not post spam, hate, harassment, adult content, malware or content that infringes others' rights. We may remove content and restrict accounts that break these rules. To report content, email hello@launchaf.com.

5. Paid launches, sponsorships and other purchases

• Prices are shown at checkout. Payments are handled by our payment provider, Dodo Payments, which acts as merchant of record. Their terms apply to the payment, and we never see your full card details.
• A paid launch gives the benefits described on the pricing page for the plan you chose. Sponsor and advertising placements run for the period and slot you book, subject to availability and our review.
• Subscriptions, where offered, renew until cancelled. You can cancel before the next renewal and keep the benefits until the end of the paid period.
• If we reject a paid newsletter sponsorship booking, it is refunded in full. For any other purchase, including one we cannot deliver, contact us at hello@launchaf.com and we will review the refund request in good faith. Nothing in these terms limits any refund or cancellation right you have under mandatory consumer law, including any right to withdraw from a distance contract within the legal period where it applies.
• A refund or payment dispute can revert a paid listing to the free plan, which then needs the required badge to stay live.
• Tax, such as VAT or sales tax, is calculated and collected by the payment provider where required.

6. Newsletter

The LaunchAF Brief is sent by email. You can change your editions or unsubscribe from any issue. Paid newsletter placements are labelled as sponsored.

7. Acceptable use

You must not:

• break the law or infringe the rights of others;
• probe, scan, overload or disrupt the Service, or bypass rate limits or access controls;
• scrape the Service at a scale or in a way that harms it, or in breach of our AI usage policy and robots rules;
• use the Service to send spam or to distribute malware or phishing;
• use automated means or the MCP server to take actions the account holder has not approved.

8. AI agents and the MCP server

If you connect an AI client to your account, you authorise it to act within the permissions you approve and you are responsible for what it does under your account. You can disconnect it at any time from your dashboard. The agent cannot publish a launch, choose a plan or pay on your behalf.

9. Third-party links and services

The Service links to products, websites and services we do not own. We do not control or endorse them and are not responsible for their content, availability or practices. A listing or upvote is not an endorsement. Your dealings with third parties are between you and them.

10. Intellectual property

The Service, including its design, software, name, logo and badge, belongs to LaunchAF or its licensors. Except for content you own, these terms give you no right to use them beyond using the Service as intended and embedding the official badge. You may not copy, modify or resell the Service.

11. Availability and changes

We work to keep the Service available but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. Features, plans and prices can change. Changes to prices do not affect a purchase you have already completed.

12. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, and we do not guarantee any traffic, rankings, votes, sales, backlinks, search visibility or other results from a listing, a paid plan or the free tools. Free tool output, including domain-rating, SEO and AI-readiness checks, is informational and may be incomplete or out of date.

13. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, LaunchAF is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and 100 US dollars. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, including for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or your rights as a consumer under mandatory law.

14. Indemnity

If you use the Service for business purposes, you agree to cover reasonable losses arising from a third-party claim that your content or your use of the Service breaks these terms or the law. This does not apply to consumers.

15. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close an account, or remove content, if you break these terms or the submission policy, if required by law, or to protect the Service or other users. You can close your account at any time. Sections that by their nature should continue (content licence for archives, payments already made, disclaimers, liability and these general terms) survive termination.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The effective date above shows the latest version. For material changes we will give reasonable notice, for example on the site or by email. Continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect means you accept it.

17. General

These terms, the privacy policy and the submission policy are the whole agreement between you and LaunchAF about the Service. If a provision is unenforceable the rest stays in effect. Failing to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer your rights under these terms without our consent; we may transfer ours as part of a business transfer. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and nothing here removes your right to bring a claim in your local courts.
